Leading an organization or group – whether it is a large company or small classroom – requires a combination of self-awareness, empathy, resilience, and the ability to listen non-defensively. Being able to project confidence while managing feelings of inadequacy and vulnerability is a challenging and often lonely process.
I consult to organizations whose leaders want to become more effective. I bring curiosity, humor, humility, extensive clinical experience, and a psychodynamic perspective to facilitate increased self-awareness and change. I advise CEOs, boards, and business owners on a range of organizational issues including leadership transitions and succession, team dynamics, and culture change. I work on the development of essential leadership qualities such as how to build resiliency, navigate effectively in uncertain conditions, become more comfortable with self-advocacy, and understand and improve issues related to motivation, accountability, and productivity.
I have a particular interest in working with family businesses and helping leaders navigate the dilemmas that can emerge in families working at the intersection of family and organizational dynamics.
